Osama Bin Laden Dead – Killed in Pakistan

Osama Bin Laden Dead

Al-Qaeda’s Leader Osama Bin Laden Killed in Abbotabad

Osama Bin Laden, man behind 9/11 attacks, and many other terrorist activities, is at last killed in Pakistan’s city Abbotabad. For the United States this may be one of the biggest accomplishments in fighting terrorism. However, most people may still be aware that this does not mean end of terrorism, yet it sends a very strong message to other terrorist groups, that you would be brought down one day.

US President Obama delivered a speech at 11:35PM, confirming Osama’s death.

2010: Bloodiest Year in Pakistan – Terrorist Attacks & Suicide Blasts

2010 the Bloodiest Year in Pakistan’s History

Many Terrorist Attacks, and Suicide Blasts

Year 2010 was a brutal year in Pakistan’s history where many people were killed and martyred. The year included attacks on sufi mosques in Karachi and Lahore, and also the butchering of Ahmadis in Ghari Shahu.

An Articleon Ezine states:
“The cost of such attacks is prohibitive as over 1500 people were killed and 2500 injured in 52 suicide attacks that made 2010 the bloodiest year for Pakistan. The start was from the attack on a volleyball match in Lakki Marwat which killed 90. A series of attacks were also launched against military targets, including a breathtaking attack on a mosque in Rawalpindi area to kill the son of an Army Commander, who was overseeing military operations against Taliban in Waziristan”

May Allah guide the Muslims of today, and bring them on the right path. May Allah forgive those who became victims of these attacks, and protect our country from all sorts of terrorism. Amen,

Preview: India v South Africa, Under-19 World Cup 2008 final

Familiar rivals battle for silverware

The Preview by George Binoy in Kuala Lumpur

March 1, 2008

India spent the eve of the final getting used to playing under lights at the Kinrara Oval © George Binoy

After an elimination process spanning two weeks, there’s little doubt the two best teams have made it to the Under-19 World Cup final. India and South Africa had contrasting preparations for this tournament but their performance in Malaysia has similarities.

India quickly established themselves as the team to beat through strong batting and clinical efforts in the field, while South Africa improved with every game. India are the only unbeaten team in the tournament, South Africa have lost only once – to India.

India’s strength has been the batsmen, most of whom have first-class experience; they didn’t lose more than five wickets until the semi-final against New Zealand; South Africa’s batsmen, barring a hiccup against India, have set up victories in the knockout games by setting targets of 240-plus. Both teams possess a variety of bowling options – all but two players in each team, excluding wicketkeepers, have bowled – but while South Africa’s core is formed of medium-pacers, India have quality spinners to back up their seamers.

Both teams also held their own in challenging circumstances during day-night semi-finals that were affected by rain. India’s batsmen overcame an asking-rate that had been scaled upwards by Duckworth/Lewis, while South Africa combated a slippery ball and changing conditions as their semi-final against Pakistan entered the reserve day. India’s captain Virat Kohli said South Africa were among the teams they got along best with and the players mingled frequently at the team hotel.

The teams have certainly had plenty of time to get to know each other, having faced off in a series in South Africa before the World Cup and once before in the tournament, so both camps will have a good idea of strengths and weaknesses. South Africa pride themselves on disciplined medium-pace bowling during the middle overs, backed up by excellent fielding and a wicketkeeper who stands up to the stumps. However, they lack an attacking bowler after the new ball wears off and rely on building pressure over sustained periods, which forces the opposition into making errors.

The Indian batsmen have shown maturity and inducing mistakes from them will be harder than it has been against other teams. One vulnerability South Africa could target is India’s middle-order, which hasn’t been required to bat for long periods and quick top-order wickets could prove vital.

India are expected to win and that excites me. We’re going to come from the bottom and try to scare, not only the Indian team, but the entire country. Ray Jennings, South Africa coach

India have had three days to plan strategies for either of the second semi-finalists while South Africa’s place in the final was secured with a little over 24 hours to go to D-day. India spent the eve of the final getting used to playing under lights at the Kinrara Oval while South Africa, having only just completed their semi-final against Pakistan earlier in the day, were relaxing in the afternoon. Sunday will be their third consecutive day on the field, but they’ve been physically stretched before during the group stages when they played three matches in four days.

The preparation of the two teams in the lead-up to the World Cup also presents a stark contrast. India’s success is a return on tremendous investment to develop the U-19 team. India have toured six countries – more than any other team – since the last World Cup in 2006. The players have been exposed to varied conditions and playing styles. South Africa, on the other hand, put together their team for the World Cup only last December ahead of the home series against India. Although their team lacks exposure, theirs is a carefully selected squad with former senior team coach Ray Jennings putting a premium on all-round skills and mental toughness.

A victory for India will be a vindication for the effort put in to develop young cricketers. It may also prompt other nations to try and follow suit for India have been a class apart from most teams in Malaysia. If South Africa win, their administration might be encouraged to prepare their team better for such tournaments by sending them out for tours. They are underdogs for Sunday’s battle and Jennings acknowledged as much: “India are expected to win and that excites me,” he said. “We’re going to come from the bottom and try to scare, not only the Indian team, but the entire country.”

Canadians likely to be hit hard with Climate Change

Just read in The Star that Canada weather will continue to change over next few decades. Weather will constantly be changing. It is not so easy to predict how much change there would be over the years. But by 2025, due to global warming, will rise half a degree. And possibly by end of the century, 1 whole celcius will rise in the average of each year of present time.

Canada should be ready for hard times in the future. Scientists have made predictions about climate of North America. Below are some of those predictions:

  • More water evaporation from the Great Lakes as the weeks with ice cover drop because of warmer the air and water.
  • Deeper snow cover in the Arctic from 2041-2070 but less elsewhere in Canada.
  • Fewer but more intense storms moving across Canada from the Pacific.
  • Greater risk of drought for already dry regions.

But scientist also agree that nothing is in our control and however the weather is changing, we are stuck with it. Below is a statistical paragraph from the star:

These included: a steady shrinking since the 1950s in the area of North America
still covered by snow in early spring; a 7 per cent loss per decade since the
mid-1970s in the extent of Arctic sea ice; continued loss of ice from the caps
on both Greenland and Antarctica and a steady shrinkage of the leading “tongues”
of glaciers everywhere in the world.

UK Prostitutes warned of Serial Killer!!!

A serial killer is going around killing Prostitutes in UK and the police has warned all prostitutes to not go out at night, because it could be dangerous for their lives. Whats funny is that is their job, and now they can’t earn any money if they dont go out and this will last as long as the police has not caught the killer. So if the police do not catch it for let’s say like 2 or 3 months, or longer, how are the prostitutes going to earn money for their living. Eventually they will go out because they have to make some money, and that will get more of them killed. Even though the police is only trying to help them, but they are helping them by telling them to not go to work, so overall its bad for the prostitutes. I say the prostitutes should just go and get themselves a nice decent job, so they don’t have to worry about any of this problem. Read the whole article from The Star:

IPSWICH, England – Detectives hunted for a suspected serial killer on Tuesday after three bodies of prostitutes were found and another two were reported missing.

The naked bodies of three women were found a few kilometres apart in rural eastern England. One body was found in a stream, another in a pond and a third in the woods.

The killing has stirred memories of one of Britain’s worst serial killers, so-called Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe, who admitted in 1981 to killing 13 women, mostly prostitutes, in northern England during the 1970s. He was sentenced to serve a minimum of 30 years in prison.

The three victims were identified as Gemma Adams, 25, whose body was found Dec. 2; Tania Nicol, 19, whose body was found Friday; and 24-year-old Anna Lee Alderton, whose body was found Sunday. Police said Alderton — who was last spotted on a train — was asphyxiated, but no other details were released.

Ipswich is about 113 kilometres northeast of London.

Two other women — 24-year-old Paula Clennell and 29-year-old Annette Nicholls — have been missing for about a week.

Police say all five worked as prostitutes.

“We may be looking for one perpetrator. There may be more,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Stewart Gull, who added a serial killer may be responsible.

Assistant Chief Constable Jacqui Cheer urged prostitutes to stay off the street, and to help police with any information they have.

“If you are out alone at night, you are putting yourself in danger at this time,” she said.

Natural Disasters and Wrath of God!

Last year, in 2005, we saw a lot of hurricanes around the World. Everybody must have noticed that storms and hurricanes are getting stronger, over the years. Of course, there have been real dangerous storms and hurricanes in past too. But, past records are being broken by new storms and hurricanes.

A news report states that there will be 14 storms coming in coming hurricane season and 5 of them are hurricanes. There is no hurricane striking the U.S. this time. In past 61 years, this is only 11th hurricane season in which not a single hurricane is expected to hit the U.S.

But news report also states that this is still a bad year, maybe not for the U.S. but for the rest of the World, it is. Are these disasters wrath of God???

Well, the World has been committing more sins recently. Day-by-day people are getting worse. God wants us to see that what we are doing is wrong. He is asking us to turn to the right path, and stop destructing the World by giving up the Worldly desires.

May God make us understand the truth!
